Discrimination : Report Discrimination

The ACLU LGBT Project seeks to expand legal protections for LGBT people. To do this, we take on cases that will not only extend existing civil rights laws to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people but also help persuade the general public that civil rights should be accorded to LGBT Americans.

Here’s how you can help. If you have recently experienced discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity/expression, we’d like you to tell us about it by using our online Report Discrimination form. What you tell us on this form is confidential; no one outside of the ACLU will be told about what you tell us unless we first get your permission to do so.

We will review what you’ve told us and will get back to you to let you know whether we’re able to pursue your case. Because we only take cases that promise to have a broad impact on the rights of transgender people, you should know that we are not able to represent most people who contact us.
