Deane and Polyak v. Conaway
In this case, the ACLU represented nine same-sex couples and a man whose partner had recently passed away in a lawsuit against the state of Maryland. We argued that a state law denying same-sex couples the right to marry violates the Maryland Constitution. We lost the case last year. Learn more about it here.
